How to get to Bougainvilla. At Cancun airport all major car rental companies are present. From CANCUN airport, it's a 4 hour drive south on Highway 307 to Mahahual. Take this main highway to the Mahahual turn off at km 67. Along 307, you will probably want to stop at Tulum ( 2 hours south of Cancun) and visit their famous Mayan ruins overlooking the sea.

Bus Service. There is first class bus service with ADO from Cancun, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Felipe Carrillo Puerto right to downtown Mahahual.
